Everybody has a different definition of how a particular genre sounds. Beatport needs to be consistent so that our customers find the music they are looking for. Our curation team of genre experts will review the genre requests and allocate the most relevant genre for each track. To make this process more transparent we’ve put together these lists of audio examples to help explain how we define our genres.
