*Please note, we are not currently accepting new labels for direct distribution, you will need to deliver your music to Beatport through a distributor, thanks!
In order to add a new release for distribution, you will first need to login to Beatport Direct Distribution Dashboard. Once you are logged in, you can refer to this step-by-step guide that covers a basics of adding a new release to the Dashboard.
1. Select "Add New Release"
2. Enter Release Info

Title Version can be left blank if not applicable.
3. Enter Artists & Contributors
Any participating member should be credited at this stage. Each performing artist should be credited separately. You can use the dropdown menu under "Role" to assign different roles to each participant.
4. Upload Audio Files and Cover Image
Audio files for all tracks within the release should be uploaded at this step. Please be sure to upload audio files with the correct format and specs, or your delivery might get delayed.
The recommended resolution for a Cover Image is 3000x3000 pixels @ 300 dpi.

5. Add Metadata

Metadata Language - Refers to the language used for your album / track titles, credits and artist names Advisory

Explicit - If your album contains profanity, mark Explicit
Clean - If your album does not contain profanity, but has an explicit version of itself, mark as clean None - If your album does not contain profanity, and does not have an explicit version, mark none -
Release Date - The date on which you wish the release to go live on Beatport

Original Release Date - If the album is previously released, designate the original release date

Pre-Order Date - If you want a pre-order on your album, set the start date here

Recording Location - This usually matches the nationality of your artist

UPC - 12~13 digit code
NOTE: If you do not already have a UPC for your release, one will automatically be created for you. If you do have one, please enter it in the metadata section so you don't end up with 2 different UPC's for the same release in the case that your release is being delivered to other DSPs via your distributor.
6. Release Editor
Once you have completed the above steps, you will be directed to the Release Editor. Please go through each tab and fill in the necessary information.
Special attention should be paid to the following tabs:
6.1 Product

Title Version - Any information regarding the version of the release, such as Instrumental and Remix should be entered here

Extended Info - The following fields should be given special attention

Pre-Order Date - Should be set to a date before the Release Date

Advisory - If a release is not explicit, it can be left untouched, or set as "None". "Clean" setting should only be used when there is an Explicit counterpart of the release

Audio Language - This must match the actual language used in the tracks, or the release could get rejected. For instrumental releases, this should be set as "-No Linguistic Content"
6.2 Rights
Information regarding Year of the P&C Info should be selected from the dropdown menu "Choose a Year". Do not include the year information on the P & C text itself.
6.3 Tracks and Track Editor
In this tab, you will be able to adjust metadata for your individual tracks. In order to open the track editor and add metadata, click the pencil icon next to each track.

Primary and Secondary Genre - If a track has a different categories (genre) from the album, it can be set here
6.4 Territories

To set territories restriction, toggle "Use Label Territory Restrictions" OFF, and check the boxes next to the countries that should be restricted.

If "Use Label Territory Restrictions" is toggled ON, the release will be distributed Worldwide.
7. Finishing Up
Congratulations on adding your new release! If you have gotten this far, hit "Save", then "Request Distribution". The release will be reviewed for any metadata errors; once complete, the release will be delivered.
