Great! Subscribing to Hype is the first step.
Next, you need to get ready to promote your release. First off it’s important to remember that while Hype is a great promotional tool to help your label on its way, it does not guarantee features or increased sales. A lot of that work is still up to you.
What Hype does do is give you additional opportunities for support across the Beatport network, which are only available to other Hype subscribed labels, such as Hype picks features, two new release tiles and one banner in each Hype genre dedicated to Hype releases each week, social media campaigns (like Hype label spotlights) and curated charts (like "Best of Hype").
Plus the Hype top 100, which works the same as our global top 100 except only Hype subscribed tracks can chart in it, meaning it is far easier to chart in (note that you can also chart in the global top 100 at the same time).
While the features are still decided on an editorial level by our dedicated team, and the top 100 charts are still based on sales (the same as everywhere on our store), the benefit of being subscribed to Hype is that you are only competing for them against labels of a similar size, as opposed to against all labels on Beatport (many of which may be more established and with far more resources).
